A Life Among Spirits
A Life Among Spirits is the cultivation of a lifetime of experiences dealing with the paranormal. Shawn Sellers is the founder of Southern Paranormal Researchers, and this in-depth recollection of his experiences opens the door on the world of spirits and other paranormal events. More than just ghost stories, these are actual events and detailed information about the investigation into them. Shawn’s family raised him on Hoodoo and brought him up in the world of Freemasonry, giving him an early childhood experience in walking among the other side. Within these pages those passages through what he was taught come to life.
As an included bonus in this book, you’ll find an Addendum of the Spirit World. For those interested in pursuing ghost hunting, the information will be invaluable. Another bonus includes Haunted Montgomery, giving Shawn’s (and his teams) investigations into Alabama’s most haunted city. The SPR (Southern Paranormal Researchers) journals give bone-chilling insights into other Alabama hauntings as well. A Life Among Spirits, is not for the faint of heart, what you’ll discover may very well change your opinion on the spiritual world as you know it.

Diaries of Hiram an investigator & Researcher VOL 1.
My name is Hiram Jones. I am a licensed private investigator, Arthur instructor, and New Orleans business owner. I developed a name for myself, working cases involving unexplained phenomena such as ghosts, dark beings, UFOs, cold cases, and missing individuals across the United States. I grew up in southern Alabama near Citronelle and New Orleans’ French Quarter. My Grandmother in Alabama raised me for most of my teenage years, and she exposed me to the spirit realm in an unusual way and taught me about it at an early age. My Grandmother was well-known in the community for her abilities, and she passed on a substantial portion of her knowledge to me. I am also a Freemason, and the Masonic order can be traced back to my ancestors and the Mayflower. I’m not proud of my reputation as a jerk. My vices are attractive women and Jack Daniels. But, honestly, I’ve been struggling with myself with my ultimate purpose other than being a father. Bill Yates is both my business partner and my brother. He is the only person I have left in my life who is always honest with me and has my back. Bill is an occultist. Jones Occult Emporium, located in the 900 Hundred block of Ursuline Avenue, is owned by Bill and me. We provide nightly ghost and vampire tours and psychic readings in the back of our shop. We also have a pub across the street called Handshoes. We got the bar after Eric Handshoe killed my friend and brother, and that’s all I will say about it. When Bill and I were eating a Patty Melt and drinking a beer at Flanagan’s on St. Phillip Street one evening, I had the distinction of introducing him to his wife, Sue. Mary Fox. She comes from a little town in the Midwest. She is a freelance journalist, Aurthur, and a Para Celebrity because she appeared on a Paranormal TV show. JJ’s real name is John James Crum, and he is a New Orleans figure. He is a tall, slender, very homosexual Creole in his early twenties who was born and nurtured in New Orleans by his Grandmother, a local voodoo practitioner. His Grandmother was well-versed in the city’s history and the occult realm. JJ and I are different. However, we have a lot in common and have tiny families left. Hector and Gladys Garcia are our friends in the store or at the bar. Hector is in his early forties, of Cuban heritage, and a computer and tech nerd. He hails from a Sanitaria family, and his wife Gladys, who is in her early sixties, is a local practicing witch and psychic who conducts readings at our store. Hector often joins us on investigations and cases. I work, but when he isn’t with us, he’s in the back of the store inventing the next ghost hunter gizmo or hanging out at the bar smoking cannabis with JJ. Hector is the most intelligent supernatural inventor. If Hector isn’t with the crew, he’s in the back of the store working on the next innovative ghost-hunting gizmo or hanging out at the bar with JJ and smoking pot. With the life I’ve chosen for myself, my thoughts and experiences frequently plague me. So I decided to put my experiences in writing so that on those lonely nights when my dreams and thoughts haunt me, I can revisit my experiences in my writings and separate the facts from my imagination, allowing me to continue to search for answers to questions I know will never be answered while remaining sane. So, if the Darkness is ever defeated in this world, I hope what you read can provide insight into what I have been through and what has helped form me as a man and a father. “Be careful what you seek in the darkness because it may find you.”

Return to the Chronicles of a Supernaturalist
I think this book, ‘Return to The Chronicles of A Supernaturalist’, is the one that I’m the proudest of and the most excited about out of all the other books I’ve written. It is a follow up to my first book: ‘Chronicles of a Supernaturalist.
It’s a book that I worked really hard with and all in all I believe this book is the most personal book that I’ve ever written. I share stories that are of my personal experiences; as a child, as a professional in-vestigator, a researcher and I also even share stories of some of my closest friends and team members that have since passed on. I believe as you read this book, you’ll begin to understand who and what I really am. I’m not a ghost hunter, I’m not a demonologist, I’m not a Ufologist, I’m not a monster hunter. Basically, what I am would be described as a Fortean I investi-gate and research anything that’s unexplainable.
I’ve had many varied experiences. I’ve been profes-sionally investigating for over 20 years. It’s been a part of my life since I was twelve years old and as you read this, maybe you can get a sense of being there with me, feeling some experiences just as I did as they occurred to me. You know, I write these books be-cause honestly, I don’t want all the work I’ve done over the years to be in vain. I want it to have mean-ing, I want it to have substance. I want it to leave a legacy not only for me but for my children. I’ve dedi-cated so much of this as a major part of my life. I want it to have meaning to you too. My hope is that maybe, as you read this book and you lay the book down at night you can get a feeling and an insight and understand how some of the cases that I’ve worked still haunt me to this day. And maybe these cases will even haunt you a little as you read them.
This book picks up on my journey right where my first book, ‘Chronicles of a Supernatural-ist’, left off, as well as returning and going deeper in-to some of those original stories. It will take you back to some of the early days as I began my journey into the preternatural and will lead you through to where I am right now. It will give some answers as to the reason why, and where I’ve been for a couple of years when I took a break in this field.
As you read this book you basically become a part of our team and part of our family. Because these stories you are about to read are of my own real-life experiences, they will resonate with you in your own life. Maybe as an investigator, you’ve had similar ex-periences or can see yourself having to deal with these things in the future. It may even be that you can relate to my experiences just on a personal level. By sharing my experiences, I hope they might help you in some small way, along the road of your own personal journey. My hope is that this book and all of my writings are something you will enjoy and want to recommend or pass on to a friend, your family, or a loved one. All in all, I really believe that these books and stories can be passed down long after I’m gone.

Montgomery: A City Haunted by History
Montgomery, Alabama is an old city. Certainly older than most folks give it credit. There was a Montgomery before the Civil Rights movement, and a Montgomery before the Civil War. Underneath the urban sprawl, the memorials and Hank Williams…the older Montgomery is rarely seen or talked about.
